i grew up on internet and it was peak time. legit i was like idk 8 or 9 and wanted to be a youtuber like every other kid. i used to grind games so eventually ended up starting a gaming channel and grew it to 5k subscribers. it was so fun. still remember just coming back from school and getting on it. really did not give a damn about anything else lol
experience
omfg i remember this. the covid time. everything shifted onto the internet. i used to hop on discord with my boys and rip minecraft and fortnite all day. also grew a discord community from scratch to around 2.5k members just for the pure love of the game
hopping on discord got me pulled into the internet money thing. discovered crypto and tried a couple different things. dropshipping, reselling, even grew and flipped theme pages. made my first couple bucks and spent them on the most dogshit things ever lol. what do you even expect
huge character development by this time. taught myself real skills. motion graphics, video editing, designing. started working with content agencies and later independently with brands and creators. learned how everything works. about money. about business. etc
upstream of everything i ended up starting my own thing. managing creatives and teams. started with creative direction and management for local brands. made serious money here. upskilled myself and started exploring tech and startups and a bunch of other things because i really wanted to be more and didn't want to be trapped in a box
right after everything was going good and i let my guard down a bit everything started falling apart. absolute nightmare. made mistakes, dropped out, went into pure identity and existential crisis. i was like its done, i am done and my life is done. but i guess universe was just relocating my route. it's the time i really got hit by life and the reality was hard but needed
eventually came to the realization i can't be a fucking loser chud and gotta get my shit together and start fresh. i wanted to be valuable. i wanted to learn. so i got deep into tech ai and startups. mainly getting fluency on the technical side. idk how to code but i can reason through a problem and honestly that's the future. knowing how to code isn't the advantage anymore, it's commoditized. what stands out is out of the box creativity, taste, and what you can get out of using your judgement
spent months researching, studying, following my curiosity and fucking around like i always do. tried many things that didn't work out as planned but learned what i didn't know before. and after all of that i came up with catalyst. in simple words a lab where i build, research and write around ai, tech, systems, internet, people, whatever interests me and something i see good potential in. before this i was working on meraki which did not work out due to many reasons. right now i'm just focused on expanding my domains of knowledge. experiments, testing, building, learning as much as i can to iterate and improve fast
